What this place lacks in ambience they more than make up in their food. Their black bean soup is the BEST you will ever find. It's more of a religious experience in richness and flavor. Unfortunately, you can only get it on Thursdays.
Their next best offering is their burritos: huge and awesome!
Their fried chicken is great.
For breakfast I suggest their sausage skillet. Huge and awesome.
Julianne salad is great, too, when you don't want to go too heavy on the carnivore route.
Their coffee is great and so is their service. This is a great family-owned restaurant -

I wanted to love this place because it's close by to my home. If you stick to breakfast it's not too bad. I went yesterday and ordered the fried chicken and asked for all white meat and I repeated that 3 times and the waitress said she got it. When the food came out it was a half chicken and there was a leg and thigh on it and so I called her over and she said that's the only way it comes, just eat it you will love it. Well I don't care who cooks it I only eat wings and breasts period. So I ate the two pieces that was white meat and left the others, you would have think she would have adjusted my bill for that but she didn't. She is a really nice lady but she doesn't have very good listening skills because she gets something wrong on our order every time we eat there, and she is always there in the mornings. They don't have sweet tea, how hard is it to make it, most everyone loves sweet tea. I did get the country fried steak last week and it wasn't bad. As I said if you stick to the breakfast it's not too bad but there are better places in the area to eat.

A friend recommended Goody's as a good place to eat breakfast. I had the briskets and gravy and it was average nothing special. The restaurant was clean and the service was good., the prices were what you would expect.

I love this local home owned restaurant. They have a large and varied menu. The owners are Mexican so the Mexican selections are very good. They also have many down home American choices.
